Job opportunity
The current Group Research and Communications Officer for Labour at NYCC is moving to a new post and the Group will be advertising in January for a new assistant. The post is part-time, approximately 15 hours a week, and is based at County Hall in Northallerton. Look out for details on the Council's job vacancy website www.nyccjobs.co.uk in the New Year. School meals price hike beginning to bite
The increase in school meal prices since the beginning of September has had a devastating impact on take up in at least one North Yorkshire School.
County Councillor Brian Marshall, Member for Barlby, has found out that take up at Barlby Bridge primary school is down 50% from the beginning of term.
